Toddlers Uni Ltd

Toddlers’ University was registered by the current owners in Ilkeston in December 2003, and operates from a converted church premises situated in Park Road in the Larklands area of Ilkeston, Derbyshire. The nursery serves families from the local community and surrounding areas. The baby room, toddler room and kitchen are located on the ground floor of the building and the pre-school is located on the first floor. Outside there is a secure garden play area with all weather surfacing and a variety of equipment which is changed on a daily basis to ensure that the children are able to practice a wide range of skills during outside play. The setting is registered to care for 66 children from 3 months to eight years. We currently offer a minimum of 15 hours funded education for 3 and 4 year olds (30 hours are available for eligible families), plus eligible 2 year olds on a flexible basis to meet the needs of the families. Where children attend a school nursery or go to fulltime school we offer drop off and collection services, and holiday care. The nursery is open five days a week from 7:30am to 6:00pm excluding public holidays and the week between Christmas and New Year when the nursery is closed. Members of staff are employed as a Manager, Deputy Manager/Senior Nursery Nurse, Senior Nursery Nurses and Nursery Nurses. We have a part-time cook who prepares fresh and healthy meals for the children. We have an Early Years Professional who works with the Managers and Staff in both settings to ensure high standards of care and education. All members of childcare staff are qualified to NVQ level 3 or above in a childcare related subject.
